How To Dunk – 5 Foot 5 Dude Dunking A Basketball

This is video of Brandon Todd dunking a basketball, he’s only 5 foot 5 inches. Talking about mad skills this guy has. He was using Jacob Hiller’s Jump Manual program to improve this vertical leap. I was actually pretty excited to see this video because I’m 5’7 and if this guy can dunk like that, at least I can do some simple stuff.

What I’ve learn from this Jump Manual program is that you can learn how to dunk a basketball no matter if you are black, white, or Asian. I’m a 5’7 white guy. It has always been my dream when I saw Jordan do it back in the day. It not always about genetics, it more about dedication, hard work, and metal toughness….and you know Michael has all of that…

Do Squats – This is the mother workout of all workouts to help you jump higher. This can improve your legs strength and give you that explosive power. When you learn how to dunk, it is necessary to do lots of squats in the gym. Besides squats, there are also other effective exercises to help you get in shape such as lunges, hamstring curls and leg press.

Trying to jump as much as you can. Stand under the rim and try to jump and touch it. Be careful, most people when they try to grab the rim with their hands by trying to run and jump usually injure themselves. Because when you can grab the rim but haven’t got used to hanging on it, you’d probably hurt yourself. You need to get use to the momentum and body control while on the air.

Even though most people experience highest jumps by leaping off with 1 leg. However to maximize your total strength you should be able to jump higher with 2 legs. Just try to jump straight up under the rim to improve both legs’ strength. Once you can grab with rim with both hands immediately, then you can try to add the ball into the training.

Training with the medicine ball is another great way to improve your vertical leap and dunk a basketball. Usually, I train with my 5 lbs and 10 lbs medicine ball. It gives you much better results than just trying to jump alone. Start out with the 5 lbs ball and work your way up. Always try to measure yourself when you train and get a hold of how much improvements you’ve made in the process.

Remember learning how to dunk a basketball is a fun and not always about pain and suffer. Get a partner to train with you and motivate each other. Start out your workout with at least 50 calf raises in the morning to get things going. I always do 100 calves raises in the morning and another 100 before I go to sleep. Do this and you will see a real kick in your strength.

If you want to increase your vertical leap and learn how to dunk a basketball in just 10 weeks like Brandon, the Jump Manual program is one of the best choice out there. Simply because it is very effective and you will be trained 1 on 1 with an experience jumping Coach who is Jacob Hiller.

vertical-leap-slam-dunk-competition-1Most jumping program out there are not effective and dangerous for your body. Finding the right exercises and nutritional diets is very important to keep your body health as well as increase the vertical leap muscles to help you jump higher and dunk a basketball.

Read the Jump Manual full review here and see how it would help you bring your game to the next level. Not only you will find out how to dunk a basketball with power, you also improve your shooting, blocking, speed, and overall performance.

As a previous user of this program, I can assure that you will save so much time and money while getting the best results for your performance. You will see yourself gaining inches in your vertical leap and dunk a basketball much faster than any of your teammates in just 10 weeks or less.

I’m only 15 years old. I’m currently 5’7 and I’m trying to dunk so hard but it’s seems impossible. I think I’m a little too skinny and I need to gain more leg muscles to jump higher. Do you think this program will work for me? If I order the program, what do I receive and do you think it would work for me since I’m only 15.

Why didn’t I find this program any sooner? I have wasted so much time and energy training wrongly for years. Even my basketball coaches teach me the wrong thing. Thanks for helping me get back to the right way of training, I can definitely see real results after just couple weeks applying your training principles.

As a basketball player for almost 10 years, I will say that the Jump Manual program makes a lot of sense in terms of training and diet principles. After applying these techniques for only 4 weeks, my vertical had increased tremendously from a 35″ to a 40″. I can a lot of improvements in my overall game such as shooting percentage, blocking ability, speed and quickness up and down the court.

I’ve never been able to dunk a basketball in my life since I’m only stand at 5’6 but this whole thing is all about to change soon since I can start touching and grabbing the rim in only 4 weeks. I now can feel more power in my legs, especially my calves while I’m jumping.

I’ve now been using this program for almost 3 months and start dunking a basketball during the game. A lot of people was really surprised about this and even asked me where did I learn how to do that. I’m really happy with the program because Jacob has been a really great coach and his Jump Manual program is definitely working for me.

  7. Shane Says:

I’ve been learning how to dunk a basketball for a so long and always thought those dunkers are all naturally born like that. I was so wrong, the Jump Manual program has changed the way I think about sport and vertical training forever. If I found this system sooner, I would have saved so much time. Thanks for posting.

I’ve been training pro athletes in Olympics and a good friend of Jacob for years. I can assure you that to train your vertical leap effectively, there is no program out there like the Jump Manual. Learning how to dunk a basketball is a long pain enduring process if you don’t know the right exercises and diet principles. Trust me, this program will save you tons of energy, time, and money as well.

    Hello,

I am 24 years old and i have a vert of 37″. I am 5.7 and i can not dunk(i need at least 4-5 inches for that). Do you think the program can help me? Or do you think that i am too old?

  10. Max Says:

Hey, I was wondering if there was a ‘limit’ to how much vertical you can gain, like after a while, you don’t gain any vertical anymore since you already gained so much.
